Baby C has "arrived"

I've been known to get excited about the lamest of things. This, though, might take the cake in lameness.

You may remember that I feed C homemade baby food, mainly all hailing from recipes in Super Baby Food. Like the nerd that I am, I skipped ahead to the 9-month-old section 4 months ago. That was when I got excited--because Super Baby Food says, and i quote (from page 214):
when your baby is 9 months old, he has arrived! At this age, he can eat the ultimate super duper Super Porridge--that which is made from a mixture of grains and beans/legumes.
and it even goes on to say, in the 9-month section:
this is the month we've been waiting for--the month that you can add beans and other legumes into super Porridge, making it a complete high protein cereal
With wording like that, how can you not be excited? Seriously, I tell ya! And sadly, I really and truly was excited to start her on Beans. I totally bought into the hype of the writing. I'm a sucker for that kind of thing--advertisers love me.

Anyway, how has C changed now that she has arrived on the Super Porridge scene? Lets just say that we now have a little musician on our hands...here she is in all her 9-month (and exactly 39-week) glory:

We are not quite there yet but I totally get it. We are awaiting Baby Sister turning 9 months old so she can have meat. Not quite as healthy as beans but Big Brother is itching to give her a hamburger. :)
