i heart faces: week 18

This week is all about laughter*, something Baby C does very well. In fact, if I am not actively trying to make her laugh, she will sit around and start fake-laughing herself. I'll try to get a video of that because it is hilarious. She'll "heh...heh...a heh" for a while until I get the hint that I need to do something to really make her giggle.

The first time I remember her laughing spontaneously was when we took her to the playground swingset. She immediately loved it! Now, whenever she sees a swing, she squeals and there is guaranteed continuous laughter for at least the first couple minutes of swing-time.

Since we are now in Florida, I knew I wanted to get her in the swings before we left home. Unfortunately, the only time i left to accomplish that was immediately following her 9-month check up and shots. She cried and screamed. So sad! (and quite the opposite of laughter). Fortunately, we whisked right out of the doctor's office and over to the park where she had the time of her life.

It was so so hard for me to choose a photo for this week's entry from my top 6 but here is my
Kids Entry
for Week 18:

(i think you may need to click on it to see the whole picture--silly 3 column blogging truncates my photos!)

*honestly, when i took these photos i thought the theme was "joy" so, while C may only be giggling in the above photo, she is also most definitely full of joy!

Speaking of being in Florida, for those of you who follow our adventures, you know we are here for my grandpa. For those of you just visiting my blog just for I Heart Faces, here is a little background info--my 81-year old grandpa was diagnosed with Astrocytoma Brain Cancer. Unfortunately, it is malignant and the tumor is already at a stage 3. We couldn't get down to Florida to be with him soon enough!

While this photo will most definitely not win any honorable mentions, here is one i shot today of my beloved grandpa, laughing with his great-grand-babies. My grandpa is hilarious. Stinkin' funny. We are always laughing around him. I'm happy to report that he is still extremely funny and we are still laughing.

Adult Entry

As always, please head on over to I heart Faces and check out some more photos guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!

That picture of your grandfather most certainly could be in contention for a win! I think it is spectacular, with or without the back story. But, knowing your moments together are precious, this picture will long be a favorite for everyone in your family. And you did a great job on the swinging baby set up1 that is a hard picture to take, so extra kudos to you!
