Happy Friday! To celebrate the (Mother's Day) weekend, we're having a giveaway!

Mara is an incredible new mother and WAHM that had an important epiphany about priorities while feeding her daughter. Her story follows:

I had always wanted to be one of those hip moms who managed ten tasks at a time and cared for her child and herself with a constant smile on her face. I had hoped to be my daughter’s playmate and the cool mom who organized the pretend tea party for all the children on the block. Yet here I was, late again, aggravated at my daughter wanting to play instead of eating.

This is when I realized I had been so caught up in my worries I was missing on the most important part of my life. My daughter was not only playing, but teaching me to relax and reminding me how it feels to be a child. She was telling me to leave my worries, enjoy the moment and be part of her world. I couldn't have been part of her world if I didn't stop thinking about being late. I realized I was missing on the most important part of her life too.

Now I wear a hair clip every day: during feeding, bathing, or at the playground. They make me feel pretty and put together, like I spent all morning caring for myself, while reminding me to remain a part of my daughter’s world.

Mara started making hair clippies with the thought that they would connect mothers with children and function as a reminder to focus on one of the best gifts they've ever been given!
