A Fond Friday Farewell

Dear Friends,

After a lot of thought, I've decided to end my blogging career on Monkeys on the Bed.

I have so very much loved getting to know you all through your sweet and thoughtful comments on my posts.

I have also loved writing my various daily themed posts like Word of God Wednesday and Thankful Thursday. And Tutorial Tuesday has definitely pushed me beyond my usual crafty-self to be more creative!

Sadly, this blog has also consumed my life at times and taken time away from Cutie Face and J. I have even prioritized writing a blog post over doing daily Bible devotions and quiet times.

I wish I could carry on with this blog but I really want to refocus my priorities in 2010 and I think it needs to begin with being online less.

HOWEVER!

I am not leaving the bloggy world completely!

I most definitely still want to keep a daily record of my life with Cutie Face and our impending arrival (6 weeks left!) so you can still find me blogging on {life with} Cutie Face.

I've also started a 365-day picture journal blog called "Picture a Year". Nothing exciting at all--just a place to record a moment of our day for one year.

I welcome you to check both of those blogs out and continue to be a part of our small little world. I also promise not to neglect YOU, my faithful readers--I'll still be keeping tabs on you :)

Happy New Year! Many blessings in 2010!

*Cries* Ok, so I'm not really crying...but I kind of am, lol. I have loved this blog but I *completely* understand!!!!!!! I am at the point where I need to re-evalute my priorites as far as blogging to and am also ashamed to say that I have put blogging ahead of devos at times (not good!!!!) I will start following your other blog and look forward to keeping up with you on there :)

Happy 2010!

Well, I completely understand! And sadly, you are the second person this week to "retire" a blog I've enjoyed following. I have only been blogging since Fall of '09 & I don't have NEARLY as many followers as you, but I have quickly learned that the blogospfere can suck you in & consume your life if you let it!
I'm excited to see how your photo-taking skills progress through the year! Looks like you're off to a great start :)
Enjoy your family :) I bet Cutie Face & J. will be very happy!

When I saw you started the photo blog, I knew it was only a matter of time...I will definitely miss monkeys on the bed, but completely understand.

At least I can still go and see Cutie Face (and you & J & baby to be)! And I already love your photo blog!

Much love!

At least you still have the other blog :) But I understand it being time consuming...I sometimes don't see how anyone has time for even just one blog! I contemplate just even deleting my one all the time.

I completely admire and respect your reasons for ending. Awesome! I am a little saddened that I only became a follower in the last few weeks. Perhaps you can leave your site up for another month or so for your new followers to read through your archives and be inspired?

The most important things first!

I will, however, echo the sentiments of those before me when I say that your blog will be missed! Especially since I had only stumbled on it of late and very much enjoyed your page and the ingenuity of the posts within :) Take care and, perhaps one day when life allows, you can start it up again - being a runner (tho hardly as fast :0) I loved reading about your races and following your running adventures. May God's grace follow you wherever you go!

I am sad as are others as you have been an encouragement!! But even more so your decision to quit this blog so to speak is even more of an encouragement. I would often wonder how you do it everyday - when I struggle to keep up my blog period. And I blog because I ashamedly didn't baby book! So thanks for the encouragement ways you didn't even know you were encouraging. Blessings on your new little one! I'll keep up with you on your other blog!
Grace to you!

Happy New Year! I definitely understand. I have already cut down on my online time as well, especially since I started back at work. I'm glad that you will continue to update your personal blog, especially since your due date is almost here! Best wishes to you and your family this year!
